Prut River Water Management 1998-2000, REGIS-Moldova
In the former Soviet Republic of Moldova a TACIS project of the European Community is underway known as the “Prut River Water Management”. With the collapse of the Soviet Union, Moldova has gradually converted from a centralplanned to a market economy. The provision of information on water resources is considered to be of direct use for overcoming urgent environmental and social problems in the Prut river basin.
